As your City Council member, I will prioritize initiatives that bring sustainable growth and ensure every tax dollar is used effectively for the benefit of our community. My experience as President of DCCI has given me a real-world understanding of how to manage budgets, reallocate resources for success, and drive profitability – skills directly transferable to our city's finances.

My Plan for Economic Growth & Fiscal Health:

• Generating Sustainable Revenue: My top priority is to actively attract quality businesses to Wetumpka. We need a diverse and robust tax base that provides stable income for our city's services and future investments, reducing the burden on individual taxpayers. This means actively engaging with potential businesses and highlighting Wetumpka's unique advantages. 
• Maximizing City Assets: Wetumpka is fortunate to have valuable public spaces like our sports complex and civic center. These are more than just facilities; they are opportunities. I will champion strategies to properly monetize these resources, transforming them into dynamic hubs that draw visitors, host events, and support our local businesses. This means exploring partnerships, strategic scheduling, and innovative marketing to ensure these assets are self-sustaining and contribute significantly to our local economy. This will allow us to partner with our local schools to give them opportunities to use our facilities without impacting their budgets. 
• Responsible Budget Management: As President of DCCI, I've had to make tough decisions and ensure every resource delivers maximum impact. I recall a time when we were investing heavily in a failing product line; by strategically shifting those resources to a more viable product and severing unprofitable relationships, we saw a 300% increase in performance the following year. I will bring this same discipline of strategic resource allocation and strict budget oversight to city finances, ensuring every dollar is spent wisely, efficiently, and with full accountability to you, the residents.
• Supporting Local Businesses: I understand firsthand the challenges businesses face – from navigating regulations to finding the right resources. I am committed to fostering a more business-friendly environment in Wetumpka by streamlining processes, cutting unnecessary red tape, and actively listening to the needs of our local entrepreneurs. When our businesses thrive, our community thrives.
